About Barbara
In 2014, my decision to pursue a career in banking was solely based on faith alone as I had no prior banking experience. After becoming a Personal Banker with a local national bank, I quickly realized I was in a position to help those that are not always in a position to help themselves. It is my heart and passion to financially empower area residents to become better employees and financially stable citizens through education, guidance and collaborative efforts.
With 10+ years of professional banking experience, I will use my expertise to take the absolute best care of you and your family. I’d love to educate and guide you through the mortgage process and guide you towards the best product we offer for your needs. Being a life-long Elkhart-County resident and involved member of the community, I LOVE our community and all the unique and amazing qualities it has!
In my spare time, I love to cook for and entertain friends at home. I enjoy staying active by doing CrossFit, Boxing and Biking. Most importantly, I am Dog Mom to an incredible Golden-Rottie named Max.
Community Involvement
- 3 year member of the R&D and Strategic Impact Committees for CrossRoads United Way serving Elkhart, LaGrange and Noble Counties.
- New member of the Building Young Futures Committee at the Builder’s Association of Elkhart County.
- 2023 and 2024 “Kilter” supporting Ronald McDonald House Charities of Michiana at their McDazzle – Kilts For Kids fundraiser.
- I also humbly served in various board capacities at SPA Women’s Ministry Homes in Elkhart, IN from 2006 until December 2021.

Borrower's checklist for purchases
Actually, no documents are required from you at the time of application. But to speed up the loan processing time, you can prepare for the application appointment by providing the following information:
- Signed purchase agreement
- Driver's license or state photo ID
- 2 recent pay stubs
- Phone number for Human Resources Dept. to verify employment.
- 2 months bank statements for checking and savings account
- 2 most recent years of W2s (if self employed, commissioned or part owner of a corporation or business will need complete federal tax returns, and corporate tax returns)
Borrower's checklist for refinances
If you are refinancing, along with everything from the purchase list above, you will also need the following items:
- Homeowner's insurance statement
- Complete loan number/information of loan(s) to be paid off
